With over a decade of performance experience under my beaded belt, I can assure you that I will provide a fun, classy, memorable show featuring costuming, music and props appropriate to your special event. From birthday parties and weddings to neighborhood block parties and theatrical extravaganzas, I have had a large and highly diverse range of performance experiences. Taped music or live, Arabic, Turkish, Greek or “fusion” – it is no problem to tailor the perfect show for your party.
A normal show lasts for @ 20 minutes and always incorporates veils, finger cymbals and audience participation. Wings, sword and shamadan are also available as specialty props. If you are planning a large-scale event and would like several dancers, that can be arranged. Pricing will vary depending upon the event size, location and the hour. If I am unable to perform at your event, I am happy to refer you to other wonderful dancers in the NYC area.

This might seem like an unusual heading, but this is NYC and all kind of unusual and interesting opportunities arise from time to time. A number of my friends are artists in various disciplines, and I am always ready to support them in their endeavours. This can include modeling/dancing for photographic, fashion and film projects in addition to live performances. Charity events are also potential special projects. Novelty appeals to me, so as long as it is not illegal, immoral, or fattening, feel free to ask. The worst I will do is politely decline!

After about 10 years of dance training I had to be coaxed into teaching because I felt that I did not know enough to teach yet. Well, I let myself be persuaded to give it a try. Happily, I discovered that not only had I acquired a great deal of knowledge during those years, but that I absolutely loved sharing it with others. I am a firm believer in teaching good, clean technique as the foundation of all styles of bellydance. It takes time, perseverance and patience to truly assimilate these movements, and they need to be broken down and explained very clearly. It is also necessary to be encouraging and supportive as we all learn in different ways and at different speeds. In addition to technique, I also focus on musical expression and use exercises to help my students "feel" the music.
Unfortunately, at this point in time my schedule does not allow me to teach an ongoing group class. From time to time I do substitute for other local instructors at various dance studios and health clubs. If you contact me I can let you know when these classes occur.

Schedule permitting, I am happy to teach either private or semi-private lessons in my home. I have polished hardwood floors and a wall of full-length mirrors. I am conveniently located in Queens, about 3 blocks from the subway. And if our schedules do not coincide, I can readily refer you to a variety of fabulous teachers in the NYC area.

It is my pleasure to create and teach informative and fun workshops that provide a wealth of useful information to the participants. Topics vary, and can be structured to your needs. Popular subjects include: veilwork, floorwork, entrances, cane, etc. Pricing for workshops varies according to workshop length and location.
